Scottishcraft.com

Research for my dissertation any help gratefully appreciated.

For my final year dissertation i am looking into the tourist market for Scot's craft and if designers play to the tousits demands and if so do they restrict what they do.

If you could give me feedback on the following questions it would be very much appreciated.

Do you see yourself as a Scottish or British Designer/maker?

If you work with precious metals which hallmark would you get?

Do you think designers in Scotland play to the tourists perception of Scotland, reasons why?

Do you believe that people are more likely to buy a product stating it is 'made in scotland' over others?

What do you think of the 'Scottish jewellery' sold in tourists shops?

What do you think the Scottish image is to tourists? (e.g. people live in castles, eat haggis and wear kilts)

Do you believe shops directed at tourists should sell modern craft items?

Is Scotland represented accurately? (reasons why)

What do you think the creative industry can do to sell an accurate representation of scottish craft?

Thanks you for your time completing this and if you have any questions or want to provide me with your opinion on this that would be great thanks.

Hi Claire,

What would be the best way for people to respond to your questions?

Have you had a look at Survey Monkey - http://www.surveymonkey.com/ ?  There is a free option that allows up to 100 responses.  You could add a link to the survey from your post.

Hope this helps, just thinking of ways to encourage people to respond!

Kind regards

Stuart
